Admission Procedure & Eligiblity
Admission Procedure for 1st yr. Engineering
Passed the HSC (Std. XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education
or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
and secured minimum 50% marks i.e. not less than 150 marks out of 300 marks
(45% marks i.e. not less than 135 marks out of 300 marks for backward class category candidates from Maharashtra)
in the Subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.
Students should follow the Admission Procedure as mentioned below at the time of admission:
1)Purchase Admission Form by paying to college
2) Fill the Admission Form neatly & completely.
3) Verification of the form by the Competent Authority in the Student Section.
4) Submission of Original Documents along with two Attested Photocopies of the following documents-
A> S.S.C (Std.X) Marksheet
B> H.S.C (Std.XII) / Diploma Marksheet
C> School Leaving Certificate after passing
D> H.S.C.(Std XII)/ Diploma
E> MH-CET Score Card
F> AIEEE Rank /Score Card
G> Admission Seat Allotment letter from Competent Authority
H> Caste Certificate(For S.C./S.T./V.J./N.T.-1/N.T.-2 N.T.-3/O.B.C./S.B.C. Categories.)
I> Caste Validity Certificate (For S.C./S.T./V.J./N.T.-1/N.T.-2 N.T.-3/O.B.C./S.B.C. Categories)
J> Migration Certificate (If Candidate is passed (Std. XII) Exam.other than Maharashtra State Board.)
K> Educational GAP Affidavit
L> Nationality Certificate/ Domicile Certificate
M> Ex-Servicemen Certificate(Def-1)/(Def-2)/(Def-3). If applicable
N> Physically Handicapped Certificate. If applicable
O>Migrant certificate(For J & K Quota Admissions)
5) Collect the “Acknowledgement Letter" for submission of original documents.
6) Payment of Fees and submission of the form.
Admission Procedure for the Diploma holder candidates
A candidate who have passed the diploma course in Engineering / Technology affiliated to Board of Technical Education,
Maharashtra State (MSBTE) or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks, outside maharastra 60%
Direct admission to Second Year Engineering after passing Diploma Course
The admissions to direct second year after passing diploma course are handled by the Directorate of Technical Education, M.S., Mumbai. (For details refer website: www.dte.org.in)
However, the eligibility requirements for direct admission to second year classes after passing Diploma Courses as per the admission procedure and rules by DTE, Mumbai and University of Pune.
For the candidates wishing admission under Management Quota
Candidates from Maharashtra State as well as from outside Maharashtra State having Educational Qualification as specified in the Para "Entry Requirement" are eligible for Management Quota (20%) seats provided they have appeared for MHT-CET conducted by the competent Authority or conducted by agency (if any) including Association of all Pvt. colleges approved by Pravesh Niyantran Samittee. However, they are required to apply separately to the Management of the respective institutes for these seats.
Rules for transfer of students at second year and onwards
Transfer whether within the Institute or to another will be effected only in case of students passing fully in the previous year / semester. While applying for transfer from one University to another, the student must produce an eligibility certificate from the university to which the Engineering College he proposes to join is affiliated.
Change of branch within the College / Institute
The Principal of the college shall allow change of course within the college immediately after the declaration of result of first year or second semester examination on merit to the eligible candidates who have passed first year or both first and second semester examinations in full and not with A.T.K.T. from the same instructions aspiring for a change of course provided, vacancies exist within the sanctioned intake. The Principal shall be responsible for ascertaining the eligibility laid down by concerned University for the course to which the candidate is being transferred.
For the candidate of Maharashtra State
In addition to Educational Qualification as specified in the Para "Entry Requirement",
candidates are required to appear for MHT-CET and secured nonzero score to be eligible for admission for
State Quota (65%) seats through Central Assessment Process (CAP).
For the candidates of Outside Maharashtra State
In addition to Educational Qualification as specified in the para "Entry Requirement", candidates from Maharashtra State as well as outside Maharashtra State are required to appear & qualify in All Indian Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE-2007) conducted by C.B.S.E., New Delhi for the Academic Year to be eligible for admission against these 15%) reserved seats.
